Surprise and Happy Groundhog Day.
This day is the cross-quarter day–midway between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. For me, today is the first day of spring–the quickening when roots stir and hibernating critters begin to wake. My present to myself is a large bonfire and small libation of Laphroaig.
